Semplus is looking for a talented and creative touch signal processing engineer devoted to apply big-data analysis and machine learning techniques on a novel touch?interface. This individual will be working on developing and testing algorithms to strength the performances of the touch sensor. The candidate will also play a significant role in the advanced development of the touch interface to push forward the capabilities and feature set of the core technology.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design algorithms for touch related features and objects extraction and patterns matching from datasets grubbed from the touch sensor. Analysis, identification and filtering of noise sources in data collected from the touch sensor. Validate the performance of the designed algorithms against real-?case scenarios using SEM+ touch testing setups. Writing internal reports outlining the results and performances of the designed algorithm against state-?of the art algorithms in scientific literature. Style of report as IEEE scientific literature standard. Tuning algorithms to meet the limited resources of embedded hardware while maintaining the same performances. Responsible of the data analysis lab, housekeeping of the data collection and storage, organization of the data analysis reports and documentation. Analyze data against test goals and specifications, identifying trends, drawing conclusion, and proposing heuristics to improve performances. Working with other team members to design tests and collect data to improve the robustness of the contact identification of the touch sensor Coordinating work with other member of the team Maintaining detailed knowledge of state of the art techniques in a dynamic and evolving research field.
4-5 years’ experience on data analysis of datasets, like images, sound or web data. Strong background in statistics, machine learning techniques, and numerical mathematics Preferred experience on data-?filtering techniques from touch industry Required expertise with Python or MatLab, C++/C programming languages.
